"This style was first made in the basement studio under Sara Duke's little retail space in Bloordale many years ago. The pattern has evolved over time, but has remained a staple of the collection every season since.

While the 10 year anniversary of YFS came and went at some point during the last couple of years, we thought it might be fun to offer this style at its original price point in limited quantities, colours, fabrics, and prints.

Everything is a million dollars more than it used to be, so maybe you'll think this is fun too."

Sara Duke is a Canadian independent fashion designer based in Toronto. Her pieces are thoughtfully designed and well constructed, signified by clean lines and a modern fit. For a decade, she has been designing and hand drafting patterns for the collection out of her Parkdale studio, always with an emphasis on carefree, easy wear.

Every Sara Duke piece is small batch, hand cut and proudly made in Canada, with a focus on utility; each tidy garment is constructed to last. Duke designs her collections with functionality, versatility and durability in mind, resulting in simple, stylish separates and dresses for an understated contemporary aesthetic.

Her commitment to quality means a hands on approach to design and construction. And, as a strong supporter of local industry, Sara Duke garments are produced by a small manufacturer in downtown Toronto, and the collection is carried exclusively by independent retailers across Canada.
